Alcohol/Drugs

We ask that clients limit alcohol consumption to moderate amounts and excuse our staff from participating. Our staff has a responsibility to be top service providers to our clients while in the field. As far as our staff is concerned, we operate a dry camp. We have zero tolerance for non-medical drugs in our camps.

Tipping

We are often asked for advice regarding gratuities for our staff. This depends entirely on the relationship between the client and the guide and the service provided. The norm for our camps is a percentage of the base cost of the hunt excluding trophy fees, licence fees and taxes. This varies between 8% - 10% for a guide and 3% - 5% for an assistant guide. Tipping is totally a voluntary gesture on the client’s part. It is a way of telling a guide how much the client thought of him as a professional, and guides appreciate the recognition.
