Our business is predicated on our clients success. Nothing else matters. We want to be as clear as possible as to what clients can expect from us. In return, we ask that any potential clients be completely open with us as to what their trophy/hunting desires are. We have learned over the years that we can’t be all things to all people. If we feel that we can’t provide the service clients are seeking, we will direct them somewhere else. We have an enormous number of options available to overcome most circumstances. However, due to the nature of our business there will always be challenges that will require some flexibility on behalf of staff and clients.

Client Guide Communication

Communication and understanding between a client and guide is essential for the client's safety and success.  Let us know if you have any medical conditions, allergies or dietary preferences.  Be open with your guide as to your physical abilities.  The client sets the pace, and it is up to the client to make his guide aware of where his or her comfort level is.

Services Provided

Our service provides any travel logistics we can assist with, all government forms , all tags and licenses, guides, food and lodging while in camp, as well as trophy field preparation and care. 

Hunt Info Package

Around the first of February we mail out a complete hunt package that includes:

  • Travel instructions and contact information
  • A liability waiver
  • A letter of intent stating that you are coming to Canada to hunt with Vancouver Island Hunts Ltd. This is done to deal with any questions at either Canadian or American Customs.
  • A copy of the Non-Resident Firearms Declaration Form. With this in hand your passage through Canadian Customs is simplified.
  • A Non-Resident Hunting Application for your hunting licenses. We will have all your tags and licenses waiting for your arrival at base camp.
  • A suggested equipment list.
  • The final balance of payment and due date.
