Black Bear Hunts

We offer both Spring and Fall spot-and-stalk Black Bear hunts on Vancouver Island, B.C. Our concession is 3,000 square miles and has over 50 grizzly-free salmon river valleys. An abundant food supply, a temperate rain forest climate with a long growing season, no grizzly predation, and superior genetics all contribute to the remarkable size of our bears.

Generally, all our bears make the SCI record book. The average square is between 6 1/2' and 7 1/2' with 19" to to 21" skulls. Simply put, there are no other locations that have a higher Black Bear population or greater consistency in size and age of bears harvested.

We use both custom-designed ocean boats and 4-wheel ATVs as the main means of transportation during our hunts.

Camp accommodations consist of beach cottages and heated tent cabins with full shower facilities strategically situated throughout the guide area. With this combination of equipment and camps we are not only able to maximize our clients' hunting opportunities, we are also able to provide a true wilderness experience.

We also conduct 10 day hunts for Roosevelt Elk. Contact us for details and to book your Vancouver Island bear or elk hunting trip.
